Tigers 10, Indians 3: I was at this game, and I gotta tell ya, until the 9th inning it was one of the more lame, butt-dragging tie games you’ll ever see. Omar Infante and Austin Jackson kept hitting, but apart from that the highlight until then was Joe West getting all ejecty for no good…![]()

Rangers 3B Beltre to begin rehab stint
ARLINGTON, Texas (AP)—Adrian Beltre will begin a rehabilitation assignment Monday with Triple-A Round Rock, and the All-Star third baseman hopes to be back in the lineup for the Texas Rangers a few days after that.
Beltre has been out since July 23 because of a strained left hamstring. He aggravated the injury Aug. 6 when rounding first base during a running session.
Beltre says he’s “good enough to play” and would rather not go on a rehab assignment. It will be his first rehab assignment since 2001.
Before getting hurt, Beltre hit .276 with 20 homers and 76 RBIs in 100 games.
Infielder Andres Blanco, on the disabled list for the second time with back issues, also will start rehab with Round Rock in Omaha, Neb., on Monday.
