Celtics trading Rondo to Lakers for Gasol?
Tuesday the web was buzzing about some recent comments Los Angeles Lakers GM Mitch Kupchak in a recent interview with Lakers reporter Mike Trudell regarding the Lakers aging back court and trade possibilities for the Lakers.
On the surface, Kupchak said what any smart GM would say; the team is exploring all options to improve their area of need. But the biggest and more glaring part of his comments was Kupchak specifically mentioning, and I quote “a 25-year-old, All-Star, ball-handling guard”. The only guard who fits that description is Boston Celtics PG Rajon Rondo. Making things more interesting is that sources have told Hoopsworld.com that the Celtics supposedly have interest in Lakers forward Pau Gasol. So how could this trade work?
